Possum is greasy, and depending on its diet may taste horrible. If it ate mostly human trash then the meat will have an unpleasant smell and you will know not to eat it. However if you live outside any city or Incorporated areas, and it ate mostly bugs and fruit and such, then its not so bad. -Darrel

It has a strong flavor, but It's hard to describe. It makes a great soup. It definetely does not taste like Chicken. It's really worth a taste if you can get over the fact your eatting a turtle. It's best if someone makes soup for you so you won't see the turtle and to ask them to take out some of the less desirable parts. -Bobby Joe
